Christmas 2009
Merry Christmas!!!
Dear Family and Friends,
This has been an exciting year for the Kit Jenson family. Last December, Deserae graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio, with a Bachelors of Science in Applied Mathematics. From there we decided to move back to Bryan so that Kit could finish his Associates degree. We moved the end of January one week after discovering that we would be adding to our little family. Our first child was due September 17th.
We also discovered that we would be adding to our extended family when two sisters announced their engagements. Deserae's sister Jennifer was married in May and Kit's sister Holly was married in June. So we had two weddings and a Jenson family reunion to attend this summer. The weddings were beautiful and the reunion was fun. We traveled with the Jenson clan all the way up to Palmyra, New York were the weather was just perfect for a pregnant lady.
Shortly after we returned from this trip we moved a second time. Kit graduated from Blinn College with an Associates of Art in Art over the summer. He was excepted to three different universities, but chose to continue his schooling at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he is working on his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. We moved to Cedar Hill to live with Deserae's parents at the end of July and Kit started school just before we celebrated our four year anniversary August 26th. Kit has completed his first semester at UTA and his future there is very bright.
In April, we found out that we were having a boy. Then we spent a long time searching for a name. We were originally told that the baby was breech and were scheduled for a c-section on September 9th. After 4 hours at the hospital we were sent home when the doctor discovered that the baby had turned and the c-section was no longer necessary. We already had everything prepared for the baby so waiting was very tedious. Then the due date came and passed and still no baby. The doctor induced September 24th and Stanley Kristopher Jenson was born at 12:58 am September 25th. He weighed 7lbs 3oz and measured 20 inches long.
While in the hospital the doctor discovered that Stanley was dehydrated and he had to remain in the hospital a few days after Deserae was released. Stanley came home September 30th where we were all so happy to have him. We have had a lot of sleepless nights but he has been a great blessing to our family. Stanley has been growing so fast he is now 12.5 lbs and 2 feet tall! He is smiling, laughing and getting stronger every day.
As we embrace our son we are reminded of another son born long ago. The Son of God was born to bring love, light and hope to the world. During this Christmas season, let us remember this son, our Savior Jesus Christ, and all that He has done for us. We love you all and are grateful for your love and kindness.
